Couples Counselling
Our service provides counselling support to couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship. Couples seeking support can make an appointment by calling our office directly on +353 1 286 6729.
Counselling can help couples facing a variety of issues some which are listed below.
Couples may seek counselling when they are looking for a safe supportive environment to aid communication with a partner. Counselling can be a beneficial and safe environment for both partners in the relationship.
Counselling can help both parties to feel supported and heard while working to resolve issues.
Some reasons couples may wish to come to counselling include:
- Financial management
- Difficulties communicating with each other
- Sexual issues
- Infidelity
- Children/parenting
- Health issues
- Bereavement and loss
What your counsellor can offer:
- Your counsellor will value and support you in meeting your goals as a couple
- Your counsellor will value both of your individual goals and help you to communicate these to you partner
- Work with you both to understand yourself and your partner better
- Offer a safe and confidential space to explore issues
You counsellor will not:
- Offer advice or tell you what to do
- Support with practical problems such as financial or housing
- Offer medical advice
- Talk about themselves during your sessions
- Meet or contact you outside of sessions times
Adults who can access our services will identify with one or more of the below:
- In receipt of social welfare benefits (illness, disability, jobseekers allowance etc.)
- A low household income
- Unemployment
- In receipt of a medical card
- Unable to afford private services
