“I have been a volunteer with Living Life for almost 3 years. The experience I have gained is invaluable and has brought my academic learnings to life. The support, training and supervision I have received has been excellent. I feel much more equipped to progress my career as a Psychotherapist as a result of my placement with Living Life. “I began volunteering in Living Life as a student, and over 11 years later I’ve continued to volunteer. Living Life is not only a much needed resource for the community, but as a counsellor in private practice, I very much appreciate the continued support I receive both from the clinical team and the administrative staff, and have the sense that the organisation is continually looking for new ways to further support its many volunteers.” (06 July)

“I’ve been counselling with LLC for 3.5 years now. I love that we make counselling available and affordable for people who might not otherwise be able to access it. As a volunteer, I cannot speak highly enough about the supports and processes that facilitate us in the work. I have autonomy to work with clients at times that suit my schedule, but also the support and robust processes that comes with a professional organisation such as this one. Through Living Life, I have been given access to training programmes and experience that I know have been of enormous benefit to my clients and will stand to me throughout my counselling career.” (05 July)

“The inclusive nature of the service offered by Living Life allows people from all walks of life to avail of counselling should let they wish. It has been such a rewarding and heartfelt experience to contribute back to the local community as a volunteer. Not alone has it given me the opportunity to further develop my skills as a therapist but more importantly it has allowed me to be of service to those who may not be able to afford therapy. I have met such wonderful people along the way and am truly grateful.” (02 July)

“Living Life has a clear passion for people. Since my first contact with the centre, and on an ongoing basis, I’ve been impressed with the level of care shown to clients and counsellors alike, the absolute professionalism, clarity of purpose, excellent organisation and warm support. It’s lovely to be part of an organisation that takes supporting the local community and those in need so seriously, this inspires me to be the best that I can be and has provided a real opportunity to learn, grow and be a better therapist.
